Our story started in 2011, when the Excellence Center opened its doors in Hebron, Palestine. Since then, our network has grown within Palestine and beyond, reaching Germany in 2018 with the launch of the Excellence Center in Europe. Through years of community development, cultural exchange, and projects that bring people together, we have come a long way.
Below is a brief look at the milestones that shaped us in Palestine and Germany.
Table of Contents
2011: The Excellence Center in Palestine
The Excellence Center in Palestine for Education and Training Services was founded in Hebron in June 2011. Its aim was to offer educational, cultural, social, and community development services to international students, interns, and volunteers, as well as to Palestinian children, refugees, young people, women, and local community members in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine.
2018: The Excellence Center in Europe
The success of our work in Hebron encouraged us to take the next step in Germany. In 2018, the Excellence Center in Europe opened in the city of Halle, offering educational and community programs to both local residents and international participants. Since then, the center has built close ties with the city’s community, partnered with many local organizations, and become a meeting point for volunteers and travelers from Germany and abroad.
June 2021: Engage in Palestine
Three years later, we expanded our work in Palestine with Engage in Palestine. Based in Hebron and well known for its intensive Levantine (Shami) and Palestinian Arabic courses, Engage in Palestine gives international students the chance to study Arabic in the West Bank through immersive programs. Participants also take part in educational, social, and cultural projects, working alongside local residents to support youth empowerment, women’s initiatives, and Palestinian refugees.
2022: Volunteer in Palestine
In 2022, the Excellence Center in Palestine widened its reach again with Volunteer in Palestine. This project was created to serve the Palestinian community and to build a bridge between Palestinian students and young people abroad.
Over time, the center has become a pillar of its community, providing educational, cultural, social, and community services to international students, interns, and volunteers, as well as to its Palestinian students in Hebron.
2023: Arabic Online Tutor
The next chapter took our teaching online. Founded in 2023, Arabic Online Tutor allows the Excellence Center to share Arabic language and culture with an even larger audience around the world.
Our online courses are designed with beginners in mind and help them communicate more easily with the people around them. We focus on practical conversation and everyday vocabulary, so you can learn Arabic comfortably from home or from the office.
Community Awards
Thanks to years of steady growth, the Excellence Center in Europe and Palestine has received several Community Awards. It was named Best Language School, Top Internship Provider, and Top Volunteer Provider in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. You can read more on our profiles on GoOverseas.com and GoAbroad.com.
