2. The Excellence Center in Jordan
Based in Amman, the Excellence Center in Jordan offers a wide range of volunteer and internship placements for people who want to make a real contribution in the region. Programs include teaching English, supporting refugees and children, working in media and journalism, engaging with Jordanian youth, and taking part in intercultural exchange projects. Its Internship Program in Amman gives students and recent graduates practical experience in an international setting. Programs run all year, and participants can join for anywhere from one to thirteen weeks.
Alongside its volunteer and internship programs, the center also runs Intensive Levantine Arabic courses and seasonal Arabic programs in Amman, so participants can combine community work with language immersion. Along the way, they support local communities, build cross-cultural skills, gain professional experience, and form a closer bond with Jordanian culture.
